Coaching & Mentoring

Coaching is a process that facilitates learning, development and performance improvement. Mentoring is the process of one person assisting another to make significant transitions in knowledge, skill, or thinking.

Coaching

To be a successful coach requires a knowledge and understanding of process as well as the variety of styles, skills and techniques that are appropriate to the context in which the coaching takes place. Coaching does not necessarily require that the parties have common roles.

Coaching can enable people and organisations to achieve their full potential and can be a powerful tool for growing your career.

Formal coaching arrangements may be in place in some organisations. Others operate informally.

Mentoring

Mentoring, traditionally enables a person to follow in the path of a more experienced person (typically a colleague) who can pass on knowledge, experience and open doors to otherwise out-of-reach opportunities.

This site has included an option in ‘My Details’ to set ‘My Available’ status to ‘Mentoring’ in so that people searching for mentors can connect with you.
